SCISSOR SISTERS - TA-DAH [2CD Limited Edition], album released in UK September 18th 2006.
Encoded 192Kbps [Lame] mp3. Covers included.

The second album by New York City's Scissor Sisters, Ta-Dah, brings with it a huge weight of expectations. After all, their debut album slowly rode up the charts in 2004 to become that year's biggest selling album. The good news is that, like their debut, Ta-Dah is packed full of witty, grown-up pop music. Their influences remain the same, including a bit of 1970's disco and glam rock, a bit of classic Fleetwood Mac and a bit of early Elton John [who plays piano on the ultra-catchy album opener I Don't Feel Like Dancing]. Musically, it's easily as much fun as their debut: Land of a Thousand Words is an homage to the themes from the James Bond films, She's My Man tells the tale of a fabled female New Orleans river pirate, Ooh is the funkiest dance song never played at Studio 54 and Kiss You Off is a liberating break-up anthem sung by the band's Ana Matronic. Lyrically, though, Ta-Dah is not as full of the unchecked hedonism of their first album, with the vaudevillian Intermission proclaiming, We were born to die. But even if the sentiment isn't particularly cheerful, the music definitely is. With Ta-Dah, the Scissor Sisters manage to be both big and clever, once again producing some of the smartest pop music you can dance to.

'Dignity' is the fourth studio album by Hilary Duff, released in Italy on March 23rd, and to be released in the United Kingdom and Spain on March 26th 2007, in Australia on March 31st 2007,and in the United States by Hollywood Records on April 3rd 2007.

Duff co-wrote every song but 'Gypsy Woman' on the album with Kara DioGuardi, and she also worked with producer-songwriter Rhett Lawrence in Toronto, Canada. Other producers and mixers on the album include Richard "Humpty" Vission, Tim and Bob and Manny Marroquin, and will.i.am of hip-hop-RnB group The Black Eyed Peas , Chico Bennett, Vada Nobles and Fred Wreck have also contributed. Duff said that compared to her previous music it would be "more dancey" and make use of more real instruments. "I don't know exactly how to explain what we're doing, but it's fun and funky and different, something new for me. It's really cool", she said. She has also described the sound of the album as "a little less pop-rock and more electronic". Duff titled the album Dignity because she felt dignity is something "you have to work on having ... The album is so personal and talks about so many experiences I've had - good ones and bad ones - and [dignity] is something I always hope to have and strive to have." This belief inspired the song 'Dignity', while 'Gypsy Woman' is about the "other girl" in a relationship.

Christina Aguilera -Back To Basics[2006][2CD+2Vids+Cov]

CHRISTINA AGUILERA - BACK TO BASICS [2CD], album released August 2006.
Encoded 192Kbps [Lame] mp3. Covers included.

With a name like Back To Basics and being dolled up like a 40s diva on the cover, one might have expected Christina Aguilera's double album to be a tribute to great music of the past. This would be misleading to say the least -- there is no obvious sign in this collection that Christina has given up R&B to become a 2006 version of Vera Lynn. Neither does it mean Christina returning to bubblegum pop of when she first started her battle with Britney.

Instead album one is a refined and rather funky R&B offering and album two is Christina demonstrating old-time influences without attempting to impersonate anyone. In saying that her voice is maturing nicely enough to be just a little reminiscent of Aretha Franklin.

CD1 Tracks:
01 Intro [Back To Basics]
02 Makes Me Wanna Pray
03 Back In The Day
04 Ain't No Other Man
05 Understand
06 Slow Down Baby

12 Here To Stay
13 Thank You [To Fans]

CD2 Tracks:
201 Enter The Circus
202 Welcome
203 Candyman
204 Nasty Naughty Boy
205 I Got Trouble
206 Hurt 5,700 KB
207 Mercy On Me
208 Save Me From Myself
209 The Right Man

The band is dressed in gowns and pyjamas throughout the video. It begins with Winehouse rising from bed and then moving to the bathroom.
